Conservatory Program

After completing a foundational method series and building essential violin skills, students can choose to continue their studies through the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Program and take examinations through either the RCM or the Durham Music School Exam Program.

The RCM Program consists of 10 progressive levels, culminating with the prestigious Associate Diploma (ARCT).

Students who begin with Violinkids® can start exploring RCM repertoire as early as Violinkids® Level 3, continuing their growth with a structured, comprehensive curriculum.

Examinations can be taken at any point during a student’s studies. Exams are optional and do not need to be taken in sequential order, allowing students to progress at their own pace.

The RCM curriculum provides more than technique and theory,  it cultivates musical understanding, artistic expression, and a love of performance.

Each level is designed to inspire enthusiasm for music, celebrate student achievements, and build a strong foundation for a lifelong musical journey.
